Life in weeks
Every week of a life on one page: one row per year, 52 squares per row. Enter a date of birth — it stays in this browser.
How it’s counted
Rows and squares
Each row starts on that year’s birthday, so the grid never drifts: 52 weeks of 7 days make 364 days, and the last square of each row absorbs the remaining one or two days. A 29 February birthday is counted on 1 March in common years.
The average line
World life expectancy at birth was about 73 years in 2023 (UN World Population Prospects 2024). It is an average over everyone born, not a forecast for you — it varies widely by country, sex and decade of birth.
Exact figures
Days alive and weekends come straight from the calendar. Full moons use the mean synodic month (29.530589 days); distance around the Sun uses Earth’s mean orbital speed, 29.78 km/s.
Body estimates
Heartbeats (70 a minute), breaths (15), blood pumped (5 litres a minute), sleep (8 hours), blinks (15 a minute while awake) and meals (3 a day) are rough adult averages applied to every day. Children’s hearts and lungs run faster, so treat them as order-of-magnitude.
